Being a member of Voidwalker Texas Ranger comes with many membership perks and benefits. Our guild is continually working hard to improve and master the latest content in World of Warcraft. You can expect a friendly, family-type atmosphere when you join our ranks.
As a newly reformed and relocated guild, we have the opportunity to become a top-level raiding guild. While our focus is on building and managing a cohesive raid team, we also want to expand to a balanced, well-rounded PvP team as well. Our hope is to provide something for everyone and encourage our guild members to take on new challenges, defeat new bosses, and dominate in battlegrounds.
VTR Membership Ranks
Upon joining Voidwalker Texas Ranger, you are assigned the rank of Initiate. This is a standard introductory rank for all new members. Initiates have limited access to the guild bank but have full permission to speak in guild chat, group with other members, or join our VTR Discord channel. New members are encouraged to introduce themselves, follow us on social media, and join our private Discord to get the latest news and updates. Our officers will reach out and connect with each new member to introduce themselves as guild leadership, provide valuable guild information, and request a few details to add to our notes.
After 30 days of being an active guildie of VTR, you will be promoted to the rank of Member. This promotion allows for more access to the guild bank, along with gear repairs. Members are also given more access to our Discord channel and a special badge on our website forums. VTR members are also expected to attend monthly guild meetings on Discord.
Once you reach the 90-day active membership mark, you will be promoted to the rank of Veteran. Our Veterans are long-standing VTR guildies and have earned more privileges and benefits within the guild. As a Veteran, you are expected to maintain a high level of commitment and activity level for guild events and activities. Higher level access to the guild bank, more daily repairs, and private Discord channels are some of the numerous perks of becoming a Veteran. An attendance rate of at least 75% for guild meetings and events is mandatory for every Veteran.
VTR Leadership Responsibilities
VTR has numerous opportunities for guild members to participate and to join the leadership team. After a 30 day waiting period, once a member becomes a Veteran, we allow for the application of Recruitment Officer or Class Mentor. These prestigious ranks come with many benefits including participating in guild counsel, saving money on costly gear repairs, helping to manage guild events, as well as access to the leadership Discord channel.
Recruitment Officers are responsible for bringing new guild members to VTR. ROs are expected to be friendly and helpful to all guild members and assist our new members with Discord set-up, required add-ons, and providing general guild information. Updating new member notes and following onboarding procedures and guidelines will also be required for all Recruitment Officers.
Class Mentors are a special rank designed to assist all guild members with finding and understanding information about their specific class. Providing details such as Class Discord channels, talent changes, best in slot gear and weapons, as well as navigating class quests are all responsibilities expected of each Class Mentor. These guild members are proven experts in their field and can be counted on to provide relevant and valuable information for their class.
Participating in monthly guild meetings, as well as bi-weekly officer meetings are standard for both Recruitment Officers and Class Mentors.
Officers are appointed based on experience, ability, and trustworthiness over time. While officers have authority over other guild members, they are not “superior” to other members and should not be considered as such. The officers are subject to the same rules as other members.
